Dr. Harari understands that it is most important to treat the underlying disease when a patient comes to her for an operation. She cares deeply that each patient does very well and that their treatment is successful and goes smoothly.

Neck surgery, however, is very visible, and she takes great effort at the end of each surgery to ensure each scar looks the best it can possibly look. Therefore, at the beginning of each case, she chooses the scar location very carefully, individualizing the scar for each patient. She then closes each case with a special plastic surgery technique,and uses a skin glue to close the last layer of the skin, which heals much better than conventional closure techniques.  She performs minimally invasive thyroid and parathyroid surgery, so some scars can be as small as 2 cm. Of course, large tumors require large scars, but if the scar location is chosen well, that won’t matter in how it appears later.
